Terms of Service

By creating a ReservWise account or using the ReservWise service ("Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. We've kept the language as plain as we can; where lawyers needed precision, we let them have it.

1. The Service

ReservWise provides cashflow planning, reserve tracking, forecasting, invoicing, and AI-assisted financial guidance. The Service is software, not financial advice, and ReservWise is not a bank, broker, or investment advisor. You remain responsible for your own financial decisions, taxes, and compliance.

2. Your account

• You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract.
• Keep your credentials private. You're responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access — security@reservwise.com.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and trials

• Paid plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from inside the app.
• Free trials end on the date stated at signup. We don't auto-bill without a card on file.
• Refunds are handled case-by-case for service issues. We don't pro-rate mid-cycle cancellations on monthly plans, but you keep access until the period ends.

4. Acceptable use

• Don't use the Service to launder money, evade taxes, or commit fraud.
• Don't attempt to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload our infrastructure.
• Don't upload data you don't have rights to, including data belonging to other people without their consent.
• Don't try to interfere with other customers' data.

5. Your data, your ownership

You own your data. We need a license to operate the Service on your data — that's narrowly scoped to running ReservWise (storage, processing, display, AI parsing). We don't claim rights beyond that, and the license ends when you delete the data or close your account.

6. Bank connections, payments, and AI

Connecting bank accounts via Plaid, accepting payments via Stripe, and using AI features via OpenRouter all involve third-party services with their own terms. By using those features you agree to those vendors' terms in addition to ours. We list them on the Security page.

7. Service availability

We work hard to keep ReservWise available 24/7, but we don't guarantee zero downtime. Maintenance windows are announced when feasible. We are not liable for losses caused by Service unavailability.

8. Termination

You can close your account anytime. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable. Upon termination, you can export your data for 30 days before it's deleted in line with our retention policy.

9. Disclaimers and limits of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties beyond those required by law. To the fullest extent permitted, ReservWise is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes are emailed to active customers and posted here with a new "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California (Fresno County), without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
